Here is what it is about.... CHURCH SOFTBALL - Rules for the church softball league in Duluth (YMCA sponsored) state that we must play 5 players from these “premium” categories:  women, people over 60, and youth between the ages of 15-19.  You can see that this is a low keyed form of summer fun!  Our season runs through June and July.  Players who register with either Paul S. (coach) or Carol U. (bossy person), are agreeing to come and play whenever they can during the season.  No player is expected to be at every game.  Families are encouraged to come and cheer.  Bring a travel chair or blanket to sit on. Gloria Dei sees this as a fun time and sometimes we even win!
    IN MAY 2012... we will  registering players for the See Paul or Carol and pay a family fee (or individual fee) of $20.00 for the season.  We had shirts (only $5.00) this past season and we will likely have them in 2012.  We do have some scholarships available from coffee hour proceeds; so do not let the fee stop you from registering.  And, yes, we have some people over 60 and some women who do play.  We also encourage males between the ages of 18-59 to play too.  That is how we sometimes score runs!
