EVANGELISM - WITNESS We are called to: (1) Proclaim God’s saving Gospel of justification by grace for Christ’s sake through faith alone, according to the apostolic witness in the Holy Scripture, preserving and transmitting the Gospel faithfully to future generations. And to (2) Carry out Christ’s Great Commission by reaching out to all people to bring them to faith in Christ and by doing all ministry with a global awareness consistent with the understanding of God as Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier of all.

GLORIA DEI WEBSITE UPDATE Evangelism is happening on our website. In the last month we have had visitors from 29 different states in the U.S. and from 11 Countries, including the U.S., Brazil, UK, Ivory Coast,Sweden, Yemen, Philippines, Nigeria, Italy, Australia and Tanzania. I have been restructuring our pages to match our ministry groups at Gloria Dei. If you have bookmarked web pages you may need to reset your Gloria Dei bookmarks with the new design. If you have digital pictures of Gloria Dei activities I hope you will consider emailing these to me. You can email them to me at web@gloriadeiduluth.org. If you notice an error on the website, or a link that isn’t working properly, I hope you will email me this information so I can make the change. It is always helpful to have another set of eyes. first Sunday of the month, our Evangelism Team encourages you to invite
a friend to worship. Please wear a name tag, introduce yourself to
others, and take time to visit during coffee hour.

HELP US HELP YOU - The Evangelism Committee can help you advertise your Gloria Dei event with our “Posters Ministry”. We can make sure that your event posters are displayed around town on free bulletin boards. from the Gloria Dei Evangelism Team. We currently meet monthly and are
focus is assessing our evangelism ministries at Gloria Dei. We are
using an assessment tool downloaded from the ELCA website to examine
how we evangelize as a church.
EVANGELISM TEAM TO HOST “FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY” the first Sunday of each month
Friends and visitors are always welcome at Gloria Dei—but now that’s
more true than ever as the Evangelism Team will host Friendship Sunday
on the first Sunday of each month. Have friends ever asked you
about Gloria Dei and what we do? Bring them to church to
experience Friendship Sunday. Evangelism Team members will greet you as
you enter church that morning, and they’ll give you a nametag so that
visitors can learn your name (and vice-versa!). The Evangelism
Team works to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and of Gloria Dei.
Their ongoing projects include maintaining Gloria Dei’s website;
designing and changing the signs in the sign box on the west side of
the 3rd Street front of the church; operating the radio ministry
(broadcasting our worship service) each Sunday on 710 am radio at 10:00
a.m.; and submitting news and calendar items to local newspapers.
The Evangelism Team meets monthly, and new members are always welcome.
